Darlene Schuetz

Development Director

Darlene Schuetz brings a deep love of the outdoors and a strong belief in access for all to her role as Development Director at Access Mammoth. With a background spanning hospitality leadership, nonprofit fundraising, and community engagement, she is passionate about building support for programs that create confidence, connection, and possibility through outdoor recreation.

After nearly 30 years living and working in the Sierra Nevada, including leadership roles at Yosemite Lodge, Darlene transitioned into nonprofit development, serving organizations focused on healthcare, conservation, and community impact. She has led successful fundraising and marketing efforts, supported grassroots giving initiatives, and volunteered with SOAR Special Recreation, where she experienced firsthand the life-changing power of inclusive outdoor experiences.

Darlene founded and chairs 100 Women Who Care Eastern Sierra, a giving circle that brings local women together to collectively fund nonprofits making a difference in the region.

Now back in the Eastern Sierra, Darlene is proud to support Access Mammoth’s mission to ensure people of all abilities can experience the freedom and joy of the outdoors. Outside of work, she can be found riding horses, hiking, skiing, paddleboarding, and spending time in the mountains with friends and her Great Dane, Cosgrove.

Together, we make access possible
